This was the last day in Vienna. Quite a decent stay here. I certainly enjoyed it more than Dubai. Too much walking though. A lot of people here have scooters. Motorized scooters!!! I am going to get one when I get back to Perth (in about 1000 years) and I am getting one and NO ONE CAN STOP ME.
Day 4, Wien.
Cool icecream place! In the morning we went to Tichy. They have these weird icecreams that sort of look like a hybrid of fried icecream and standard scoops of the good stuff. Big icecream industry going on here in Europe.
Man look at those sexy chocolate balls I think she enjoys it too. Coffee is so good here. Mmm Baby Expo with a little DEATH METALWent to the Techno Museum. Didn’t go with Steph though, she didn’t want to go. I went on my own! So much walking, it was in between two train stations so no easy way to get there. What stupid planning! glares at Ballajura. Anyway it was pretty decent. I really enjoyed it. Botball competition, physics games, lots of inventor history regarding physics, electricity generation, mining and robotics are all here. For some reason there is a section on hunting knives.
Heading to the Techno Museum! …with some decent looking buildings …And some really weird looking seats High school physics all over again PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE! Oh god the memories Heavy machinery section. Mining. Man its boring. Massive boiler thing. Reminds me of Howl’s Moving Castle (which I STILL haven’t finished watching) Ooooo work nightmares European Student Robotics Conference was running today. Botball competition! Its been too long since I’ve last seen my geeky species congregate in so great a number! REALLY creepy robot Bone saw! GAH The Austrians are known for having an obsession with death. Drawings like these are common around the city, as are grotesque images and advertisements of cadavers and such. SquickItalian dinner today. Its been awhile since I’ve had that sort of food. Ghanain spaghetti seems to lack the authenticity somewhat.
Italian food! I must contain my excitement! Oh how will I ever contain it! Impressive looking buildings.
